CEMETERY COMMISSIONERS MEETING OF APRIL 2, 2004
PRESENT: Robert E. Pease, Julian Szarlan, Paul B. Lovell, John R. Nothe and Gaylin Bingle.
Al Wilcox was also present for this meeting.
The December meeting was canceled due to deer hunting season. The meetings for January, February and March were canceled due to not enough Commissioners in attendance.
Mr. Pease called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. The minutes of the previous meeting were read by the clerk and accepted with a motion by Mr. Szarlan and seconded by Mr. Pease.
OLD BUSINESS:
Truck Repair – The bill for the repair of the truck was submitted to the Finance Committee with a request for the $2,500.00 to cover the cost of the repairs to be taken from the Reserve Funds, as this was an unforeseen expense. This request was approved and the funds were replaced in our account.
Revolving Account – Paul suggested forgetting this for now, as it could only be used for weekend burials and not used for anything else, such as snowplowing. Paul will ask Gretchen to remove this article from the Annual Town meeting warrant.
NEW BUSINESS:
Seasonal Help – Donald will be coming back for five hours per day, five days per week, except for the two weeks prior to Memorial Day when he will be working 40 hours per week. Donald will also be kept past the cut off date as help is hard to find.
Mr. Szarlan made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:35 a.m. Mr. Pease seconded the motion.
Respectfully Submitted,
Gaylin Bingle
